To qualify, a patient must be:

  • A resident of Florida (permanent or seasonal)
  • Diagnosed with a qualifying condition by a doctor
  • Approved for a Medical Marijuana Use Registry Identification Card
  • Registered with Medical Marijuana (MMJ) Use Registry

To become eligible, a patient must have one of the 12 stated qualifying medical conditions or a condition comparable to those listed, a terminal illness, or chronic nonmalignant pain.

Medical marijuana card process

Patients must physically visit and be evaluated by a physician who has completed the required training (a
“qualified physician”) and be diagnosed with a qualifying medical condition to qualify for medical marijuana.
